Join Our Team as a Senior HR Advisor at Exceed

Exceed has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our Aberdeen Head Office. This is a key, hands-on role working closely with the Senior Management Team, line managers and stakeholders to deliver effective people solutions that support our UK and international operations.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing people strategies, providing trusted advice across all HR matters and supporting the organisation in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Influence and build effective relationships with all stakeholders across the business.
  • Oversee all core HR departmental areas including payroll, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, learning and development, performance management, workforce and resource planning, employee engagement, data protection, immigration, HR administration and maintaining and improving HR systems. 
  • Work closely with managers and key stakeholders to identify people priorities and address people challenges by implementing effective people strategies and activities to support business objectives.
  • Provide confidential HR guidance and support to managers and employees on all people related matters with discretion.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and processes ensuring they are followed and reviewed to remain compliant with legislative changes.
  • Offer guidance and support to all stakeholders on the application of HR policies and procedures and coach line managers to develop people management skills as required.
  • Support managers with complex case management including performance, attendance and employee relations issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and off-payroll working legislation.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of an organisational grading framework.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of the organisation’s Competency Management System.
  • Support the development and implementation of equality, diversity and inclusion practices.
  • Actively promote health and wellbeing by developing and implementing wellbeing initiatives and activities.
  • Collate HR budget.
  • Provide advice and direction to the HR team on work priorities and people management issues as required ensuring team members have access to the appropriate information and guidance to work effectively.
  • Provide HR support to wider organisational projects as required.
  • Participate in Emergency Response as required.

Experience:

  • Experience within a senior generalist HR role within the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience managing a team effectively.
  • Experience successfully leading a range of HR initiatives within a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Current in-depth knowledge of employment legislation and best practice in all areas of HR.
